Valley Construction is proud to announce that they have received first place safety awards from both the Associated General Contractors of Illinois and Iowa. The awards are given on the basis of having outstanding safety performances in 2009 for companies with working hours between 200,000 and 500,000. The distinction is awarded to companies that have innovative safety programs and have achieved zero work site fatalities and no multi-catastrophic injuries.
Greg Hass, Vice President of Valley Construction Co., has been elected President of the Association General Contrators for Illinois AGCI. He officially took over duties at their December Convention in Springfield, Illinois. He will be serving as one of the youngest Presidents in the association's 102 year history. ACGCI is a member of it's parent organization of the AGC of America, which is one of the largest construction associations in the country. Congratulations!
Milan, IL – Little League teams, softball and baseball teams can get their cleats dirty early this year thanks to the opening of Milan Major Leagues; an indoor fielding and batting facility located in Milan, Illinois that features the Quad Cities only dirt infield. No matter the weather, teams can get a jump start on spring training in the Training Lane for practice pitching and batting or taking a swing in the Batting Cage with an automatic batting machine.
